This Research Topical Symposia (RTS) explores the evolving landscape of carbon capture, transportation, and storage (CCTS) through the lens of materials performance, corrosion control, and sustainability. As global efforts intensify to achieve net-zero emissions and mitigate climate change, CCTS technologies are increasingly critical to large-scale carbon management. Topics of interest include corrosion and degradation mechanisms in CO₂-rich environments (gas, dense phase and supercritical), materials selection and compatibility across CCTS processes, and the effect of impurities such as SOx, NOx, H₂S, and water on corrosion rates and mechanisms. Discussions on predictive modeling, laboratory experimental protocols, field-scale case studies, and real-world data from pilot or commercial CCTS projects are encouraged.
