This study subjected various lining technologies to three phase immersion testing at high temperature and pressure by means of autoclave testing. The linings were subjected to sour gas, hydrocarbon, and water phases, with various temperature, pressure, and hydrogen sulfide levels. Following exposure the test panels were evaluated for coating breakdown by industry standard physical testing and inspection methods. The results highlight the similarities and differences between different generic coating types and also identify the critical parameters to consider when selecting a lining system for such environments.
