Thermal spray zinc metallizing is similar to many other industrial coating application processes, including requiring proper surface preparation and environmental conditions. For application of metallizing on industrial-size structures, the application process is slightly different from other industrial coatings because common metallizing process equipment includes the use of zinc wires. These wires and application guns, although maneuverable and user friendly, can be a little challenging on smaller assemblies, hard to reach areas, and complex shapes. This presentation discusses methods, processes, and equipment for coating these areas and structures.
