A key challenge is limitations on complex data analysis of pipeline features with several data sources. This entails integration and further analytics processes. The process is tedious, often attempted manually, and painstaking to the point that data such as CP current density, CP monitoring points along the pipeline and maintenance history is sometimes not even looked at, and simply excluded from serious mitigation planning. We describe the typical dataset at one large operator with thousands of distribution and transmission miles, maintaining compliance yet saddled with gaps in corrosion data analytics. This dataset includes class locations, HCA and maintenance history, together with CP test points, ILI anomalies and off the line rectifiers, and other external and internal corrosion datasets. Furthermore, we will illustrate one innovative solution to the problem with dynamic and on the fly data integration and analytics at the press of a button. With dynamic changes to live data, we show how the changed information is instantly integrated and analyzed for a direct and immediate impact on mitigation planning.
