Utilisation of predictive modelling through accelerated testing has been broadly used within the protective coatings industry for a number of decades. It is well known that there is variation between lab results and the correlated real world coating performance. There is an ongoing opportunity to increase the accuracy and efficiency of data collection, interpretation and reporting from a range of well known global standards. The AI computer Vision Neural Network provides a platform upon which the accuracy and speed of this analysis can be greatly advanced. In addition, manual assessment uses a limited number of measurements for a single output result whereas the AI software is modelling a huge number of data points which can be reported in multiple ways allowing significantly deeper performance assessment.
