Dr. Shiladitya Paul is part of TWI’s Materials, Coatings, and Corrosion team, and Director of the Materials Innovation Centre, University of Leicester, UK. He has a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge, is a Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, UK. With over 150 publications on materials, coatings, and corrosion, Dr. Paul is the Vice-Chair of EFC WP9 (Marine Corrosion) and Chair of the AMPP 2025/26 symposium on Thermal and Cold Spray Coatings. He reviews for journals and sits on the Journal of Thermal Spray Technology Best Paper Award Committee.
