University of Leeds
Dr Michael Jones currently works for Deepwater EU in the role of a corrosion modeler, in which he supports the development of cathodic protection systems for off-shore structures via numerical modeling techniques. Previously he completed his PhD within the Institute of Functional Surfaces at the University of Leeds, where he is now also a visiting researcher. Throughout his PhD, Michael’s research focused on the advancement and exploration of mechanistic models of CO2 corrosion, as well as widening their applicability within turbulent systems. His areas of expertise are therefore spread across the fields of electrochemical modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and corrosion.
