LIZETH SANCHEZ serves as Principal Materials Engineer in the Material Development team at the Timken company. She is responsible for the planning and development of projects focused on coatings characterization, corrosion performance, and bearing damage under electric current. Prior to working at Timken, she worked as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Akron. Additionally, she has worked for the Colombia Petroleum Institute as a Laboratory Analyst. Lizeth Sanchez earned her master’s degree in chemical engineering in 2018 and her Ph.D. in Corrosion Engineering in 2022 at the University of Akron.
