Qingyu Ren specializes in electrical and civil engineering, focusing on photogrammetry applications and point cloud processing. He holds M.S. degrees in Civil (2019–2021) and Electrical Engineering (2022–2024) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2024–Present). His research includes dynamic thermal 3D point cloud generation with a camera array system and assisting in structured light system development under Dr. Sreelakshmi Sreeharan. He has received the Graduate Student Summer Fellowship (2022) and the HSI Scholarship (2023–2025). He also contributes to open-source projects, including PyFringe, a Python-based digital fringe projection implementation.
