Quinten Yurek has a background in physics and materials science, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of California, Riverside and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where his research focused on hydrogen embrittlement in low-Ni austenitic stainless steels. Currently, Quinten serves as a postdoctoral associate at Sandia National Laboratories, where he focuses on mechanical testing and characterization of various ferritic and austenitic steels in hydrogen environments.
