Matthew Taylor serves as the chief technology officer of Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. where he has focused exclusively on offshore corrosion prevention, life extension and cathodic protection of offshore assets since 2012. Deepwater’s team has successfully extended the safe working life of hundreds of offshore, seaside and subsea assets world-wide. Matthew recently served as a corrosion industry advisor for a BOEM / BSEE offshore wind turbine foundation best practices effort led by Tufts university. He holds a Ph.D. in Material Science from Penn State, a masters in metallurgy from University of Nevada, Reno and a Bachelor’s of science in Materials Science & Engineering from Georgia Tech.
