Alan Martinez received his B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2019. He completed his M.Eng in Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University in 2021 before pursuing and completing his Ph.D. in 2024. He was the previous Chief Student Leader of the NACE/AMPP student chapter and representative of the Materials Science & Engineering Graduate Student Advisory Council (MSEN-GSAC). He was also the recipient of the AMPP Rising Leader Award (2023) and participant in the Membership Leadership Development Program. Alan currently is an Analyst at Stress Engineering Services where he conducts metallurgical investigations on failures impacting the oil and gas industry, with additive manufacturing being a subject of interest in his research.
