Dr. Frank Cheng, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Engineering, is a Chief Scientist at Ningbo Institute of Materials. He has been a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Pipeline Engineering at University of Calgary over twenty years. Dr. Cheng specializes in pipeline corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement, and defect assessment. He has authored four books and 400 journal papers. Dr. Cheng has received numerous awards from NACE, AMPP, ASM, MetSoc and CIM. He is an elected Fellow of NACE, ICorr, CSCP and IMMM. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Pipeline Science and Engineering.
