Alysson Bueno holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Leeds (2014–2015), a PhD (2007) and an MSc (2003) in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ, and a BSc in Mechanical Industrial Engineering from UFSJ (1999). He is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at UFSJ and Coordinator of the Center for Surface Engineering, Tribology and Electrochemistry (CESTEq). He also teaches in the FQMAT and PPMEC graduate programs. His expertise includes flow corrosion, CO₂ and H₂S corrosion, structural integrity, failure analysis, stress corrosion cracking, hydrogen embrittlement, soil corrosion, metallic and non-metallic coatings, corrosion inhibitors, and biomaterials.
