Dr. Belarbi is a Materials and corrosion Scientist IV, Technical and Team Lead at the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory in Albany, Oregon. Before joining the NETL, she was a project leader at the Institute for Corrosion and Multiphase Technology at Ohio University. She received her PhD from Sorbonne University (Paris, France). Her research evaluates the material performance, degradation, and protection in environments involving natural gas, CO2, and hydrogen. She has been active within the corrosion community, serving as chair for multiple symposia at the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP/NACE) conference. She is the Chair of the AMPP Portland Chapter. In addition, in 2024, she received the Joyce Wright Industry Impact Award. She published over 40 journal articles, conference proceedings, and four technical reports.
