Dr. Jurriaan van Haaren (Jurri) has a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Maryland. He has over 10 years of experience working as a molecular biologist. His experience includes a broad variety of molecular genetic techniques, including extensive work with microbes and microbial genomics. Jurri currently works with BioVind Inc. on a microbial detection device for the detection of Microbes involved in Microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC). At BioVind Dr. van Haaren leads their research and development efforts in the lab and in the field, exploring a novel method of rapid on-site microbe detection.
