Minkang Liu, Dr. Minkang Liu is a research scientist at CanmetMATERIALS, Natural Resources Canada. His research focuses on corrosion and materials degradation in advanced bioenergy and carbon management systems, including hydrothermal liquefaction, pre-hydrolysis biorefining, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), and supercritical water gasification (SCWG). He has contributed to advancing the understanding of alloy performance and corrosion mechanisms under severe operating conditions, providing materials selection guidance essential for the safe and reliable deployment of renewable energy and CO₂ utilization technologies.
