With a decade of industrial experience informing her scientific approach, Prakirti Singh investigates localized corrosion and pitting behavior of steel in concrete as part of her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of South Florida. Her research integrates high-throughput artificial pit experiments, electrochemical techniques, and COMSOL modeling to understand the factors controlling pit stability and repassivation. Her ten years in oil & gas and battery testing strengthen her analytical perspective and technical depth. Outside the lab, Prakirti enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring diverse cuisines, finding inspiration in the stories and cultures she encounters.
