Dr. Andy Hudson is a materials and mechanical engineer whose research focuses on corrosion-fatigue, environmentally assisted degradation, and surface-engineered treatments for structural steels. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, where he developed Fe–Ni electrodeposited surface treatments for enhancing corrosion resistance and suppressing fatigue-crack growth. His work integrates electrochemistry, fracture mechanics, and durability testing to improve the long-term performance of safety-critical components. Prior to completing his doctoral degree, he accumulated more than twenty years of industry experience in pressure-vessels and piping systems.
